Discount Period and Locations
The 50% discount can be availed at all certified Khadi stores across Rajasthan. Of the total discount, 35% is being provided by the state government, and an additional 15% discount is sanctioned by the Khadi and Village Industries Commission (New Delhi). This initiative offers consumers the opportunity to purchase Khadi products at highly reduced prices, promoting sustainable and traditional crafts. The last date to benefit from this offer is January 30, 2025.
Rising Rajasthan Event
In addition to the sale, a special event titled “Rising Rajasthan” will be held from December 9 to December 11, 2024, in Jaipur. This event will focus on promoting Khadi and other rural industries, highlighting the importance of responsibility, readiness, and Rajasthan’s growth. The event aims to create greater awareness about Khadi and its cultural significance while encouraging its use among the general public.
This initiative by the Rajasthan government not only celebrates the legacy of Mahatma Gandhi but also strengthens the local economy by encouraging consumers to choose Khadi, a symbol of India’s self-reliance and craftsmanship.
